2 garlic cloves (minced or crushed)
1 to 2 jalapeños (chopped; devein for less heat)
1/2 onion (chopped)
1-2 lb ground beef (or tender beef chuck, cut in 3/8" cubes)
1 can (14.5 oz) petite diced tomatoes
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
3+ cups water (add until desired consistency)
1 package Twisted Pepper Chili Seasoning
In skillet, sauté garlic, peppers, and onions for 3 to 5 minutes.
Add ground beef, cook until brown, drain excess grease.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, water and chili seasoning. Stir well and simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour on low heat.
NOTE: When you use beef chuck, simmer on low heat for 2 to 3 hours or until tender.
VARIATIONS: Add your favorite beans,
Heat level 6-7: add 2 fresh chopped jalapenos
Heat level 8-10: add 1 fresh chopped habanero.
