Tuscan-Wrapped Mozzarella Appetizers with Tomato & Basil

These Caprese-Style appetizers are sure to be a crowd-pleaser!



Recipe courtesy of Tricia Holmes-Lahar of Holmes Made Salsa


Ingredients:

  • 4 Mozzarella sticks (halved lengthwise)

  • 4 oz. Prosciutto, Genoa Salami, or Pepperoni (thinly sliced)

  • 24 large Basil leaves

  • 12 Grape or Cherry Tomatoes (halved)

  • Balsamic Vinegar (flavored is great)

  • Toothpicks


Directions:

  1. Wrap the Mozzarella cheese in your favorite Deli Meat.

  2. Cut wrapped cheese into 1/3 pieces.

  3. Place 1 Basil leaf (fold if needed) & halved Tomato slice on top of wrapped cheese, and fasten with toothpick.

  4. Place on a pretty serving platter, drizzle with Balsamic Vinegar, and serve.
